It is my pleasure to welcome you to our school community.

At Cannington Community College, our purpose is to empower students to contribute positively to society and to shape their futures using knowledge and skills developed in partnership with families and the wider community.

What a wonderful position we are in to make that happen! As a purpose-built Kindy to Year 10 College, we support your child through the years to help them achieve their goals. At the conclusion of their education with us, we provide a seamless transition to Sevenoaks Senior College, where they will complete their senior schooling.

The nature of our unique site means that we have a wonderful opportunity to create meaningful relationships with our students. This also means that our students can take advantage of continuous shared relationships with staff and their peers.

As principal, I am dedicated to leading a school that is committed to inclusive practices that ensure that all students feel a sense of belonging and connection to our school. I believe that creating and maintaining a positive school climate is fundamental to school success. We do this in a variety of ways, but most recently with the re-launch of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) program. PBS solidifies our behaviour expectations with an explicit focus that provides an environment for our students to be: Considerate, Aspiring, Responsible and Engaged.

I am dedicated to helping our students reach their full potential by setting high expectations, providing meaningful challenges, and supporting their academic and emotional growth. I believe that strong, trusting relationships among staff, students, families, and the broader school community are vital to our students' success. Together, we can create an environment where every student thrives.

I look forward meeting you and your child and helping them achieve their goals.
